Dress Up

Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments.  Yesterday was actually a little worse than Thursday.  Today is a little better than that.

But in an effort to move forward, for Willow's sake if no one else's, I present to you what I walked in on during the ten seconds I made myself leave her alone in a room while I closed windows to keep out a thunderstorm:

Willow was playing dress up.  This drawer is the drawer full of clothes that don't fit her/are sort of pointless (i.e. hats during summertime, sweaters, etc.) and she loves to sort through it but has never really created an outfit for herself before.

Willow was playing dress up.  Do eighteen-month-olds do that?  I'm convinced my child is an imaginative genius, but I figure most parents feel that way.

And what do we suppose she was pretending to be?  A tennis player getting ready for bed?

I have about five hundred photographs in this series.  She loved being photographed, and kept trying to grab the camera--here's me lying down to get away from her while she tried to climb up me:

This is what I nearly lost.  There are times when I don't know how to keep breathing.
