The Annoyingness of Having a Blog

I have things.  I am knitting things.  I am, in fact, knitting so many things by so many deadlines that it has been keeping me up o' nights, and I'm designing and I'm very happy with it all and things are finishing and I can't post any of it.

Reason #1: Some of them are on submission.  In which case, it will either be a looooooong time before any of them are seen because they will be in magazines.  Or, it will be less long, and I'll put them for sale here.  So, win win, really, but for now I cannot blog about them.

Reason #2: Some of them are gifts.  Some of them are gifts that I am designing, in which case I really want to show you all, and in other cases some of them are gifts that I am knitting from other people's patterns, in which case I also really want to show you all because I am fascinated by the choices designers make (why is it that in the UK, it's "k2, k2tog, k to 4 sts before end, ssk, k2" and in the US it's "k2, ssk, k to 4 sts before end, k2tog, k2"?  Seriously, I want to know).  But, the people for whom I am knitting read this blog.  So no.  (But, yo, I just finished one of them, and it rocks.  I love it.  It's going to be very hard for me to give it away.  I might just have to make myself another one).

Reason #3: Some of them are in such an early state that it basically just looks like a blob, and while I know progress shots are a thing, they really don't look like much and frankly just depress me.

So--no pictures of knitting.  Here's a gratuitous picture of my kid:

I like the kid pics even more. No complaints from me!

I've got a pattern that I'm working on and I'm debating about submitting it...so I haven't shown any photos of it on my blog or on Ravelry or anything. I'm even wary about getting to testers. I need to do it, though...or knit two more pairs of socks. ::sigh::

Can't wait to see what you're working on but gratuitous pics of the kid are always ok too.
