Reading

You will not be shocked to hear that Dave and I have gone out of our way to encourage Willow to love books.  I think she owns more books than I do.

Of course, there are only a select few that she will allow to be read (although those are read over and over.  And over and over.)  For instance, she loves the complete works of Sandra Boynton, but dislikes Ezra Jack Keats.  Her affection for Eric Carle is bit flaky--she loves all the "___ Bear, ____ Bear, What Do You See?" books but hates "The Very Quiet Cricket."  She loves the ending of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," but loathes the little pages with all the fruit.  (I'm not kidding.  Screams.  And it's not because it's a weird page-turning experience, since she's fine with other weird page-turning books.  And she likes fruit.  I don't get it.)

It's not about length, since there are some really long books she loves.  It's not about the kind of artwork, since there's some serious variation in styles here.  She just likes what she likes.

She'll be demanding Harry Potter in no time. Seriously. Like no time at all. It's scary.

She is SO CUTE!

Oh my goodness! My mom just bought my daughter this shirt. Your daughter looks adorable in it....can't wait for Jenna aka Bean to wear it.

We love this shirt--the neck is incredibly wide, making for minimal screaming as it goes over the head.
